Got up with much more energy!!! Slept 8 hours. You know what that means? 8 hours of no peeing! Yay! Slight discomfort in peeing still, but, peeing so much more and not feeling as much pressure! Little to none to be exact. Thinking surgery is worth it today.
So, because I felt better (yesterday notice massive bruising in inner thigh) even though i am still in pain, i decided to wake up and pick up a little. Did get tired quickly, but i did it. Then peed. So far so good!
Took Anya to her first day of work. Came straight home after Tita took a detour to supermarket, where the kids and i stayed in the car. Was on computer for a bit, then went to bathroom to poop. As I finished peeing after pooping, holy mother! I felt like something tore inside my vagina! I had not felt such pain since the surgery. It was so bad I couldn't lay down and barely walk! I ended up taking a vicodin. Didn't fall asleep, made me groggy, but it did take the pain away. But, all in all, a much better day.
Welcome to the Lind family blog. it is hard keeping up with this, considering how many thousands of pictures and updates our family has, but I will try my hardest. I started this back when Regan was born, but found it difficult to take up. Then I discovered Scrapbooking, so this was left on the wayside. With the birth of our 3rd and final child (it's a boy) I hope to maintain it as often as possible to keep you up on the development of my three little tykes.

Day 6
Tuesday, July 16, 2013
Was hoping to go back to work today, but was not quite up to it. I think I need to ease into it. Still very bloated from surgery and feeling pain. All I took was Motrin. Not liking side effects from Vicodin. I did step out today. Went to lunch, took anya shopping for her smock for work. The only way i can describe how i felt today was equivalent to giving birth. I tired easy and felt pain down under. At night, I started bleeding. Think I over did it. Will definitely rest up this week in order to avoid further injury.

Day 4 and 5 of TVT-O
Monday, July 15, 2013
Well yesterday went better. I was able to hold my urine for up to 2 hours! That is quite a feat. I was not 100%, but it was better. Still had mild burning and had to run to the bathroom, but it was not as bad as it used to be. I can feel myself getting better. Let's hope!!
Today was much better. Was able to hold urine for up to 4 hours!!! That is even better. Just woke up once to go the bathroom. Was sluggish all day from the vicodin keeping me but otherwise, it went well. Slight burning still, but other than that, a-ok.

Minor Surgery
So, it has been a while. Years, in fact. My baby is 3, almost 4. My middle one is almost 6 and my oldest just turned 15. Time sure does fly.
The reason I am blogging is to keep track of my TVT-O surgery I had on Wednesday, July 10th, 2013. It was a minor surgery, with I hope, excellent results. I decided to have the surgery because my friend and co-worker had it done during Spring Break. She seems to have had positive results, so, I went ahead and decided to go with it.
Along with my stress incontinence, I also just recently found out I am going through menopause at 40. I have been experiencing problems for the last two years. Last August I knew something was wrong and have been scheduling several visits in the last year. The one thing I kept hearing from my primary care physician (who is great by the way) and my OB (great too!) was I was too young to be experiencing menopause. Lo and behold, a year later, my fsh levels came out high (have been having tests periodically throughout the year) and it was confirmed.
So, I was placed on hormone replacement therapy: 200 mg of prostegorn and .5 mg of estrogen. As I was going through all forms of hormone therapy discussion with my OB, I brought up sling bladder surgery once again. I had not researched too well, but, I had spoken to my friend and researched a little bit about it and wanted to discuss more with my OB. She recommended the surgery. I figured I would have some time to research it some more prior to getting scheduled, but a week and a half later, I was having surgery. It has been 3 days since I had surgery. I wanted to write down my experience in case someone had questions and I forgot what I went through day by day.
Wednesday, July 10, 2013:
I went in for surgery at almost 9:00 am. Surgery was scheduled at 8:30, but there was problem or delay with the person who had surgery prior to my scheduled time. I remember getting wheeled into the room, watching scrub nurses setting up. Speaking to my OB and anesthesiologist as to how I was feeling. I felt fine. I felt the anesthetic going through my system as doctor told me I would go to sleep shortly. I looked up, closed my eyes, saw red (not floaters) and fell asleep.
I woke up an hour an a half later. i felt fine and lucid. The recovery nurse told me to go back to sleep. I wanted to, but could not. I was anxious to get home and see my kids.
I was wheeled into pre-op room for recovery and Bob came in. We talked and he told me OB said everything went well. We waited for quite a while to get discharged: had to have water shot up my catheter to see if I could "void" on my own (pee). I peed a little (my bladder was FULL), stood by bed for a while talking to bob, went back to pee the rest. Heard nurse telling doctor i did not fully void, which i didn't, so they were going to redo the water test. Thankfully I emptied bladder out so i was released.
At home I felt a slight pressure on bladder. I was feeling more pain on legs and pubic area than anything. I was getting around fairly well. I took some Motrin and went to bed. I woke up a few times to go to the bathroom to pee since I felt my bladder was constantly full.
Thursday, July 11, 2013:
This day was the worst. I was constantly in the bathroom with no relief in sight. It was slightly uncomfortable every time I peed and I never felt like I every emptied my bladder. My legs hurt, my hips and my pubic area where incisions were made. Overall, I was nervous surgery was successful. Called OB, left message. Then called my friend and she said it was normal. When I spoke to OB, she confirmed all of what my friend said about my systems. It was a very uncomfortable day.
Friday, July 12, 2013:
Much of the same. Uncomfortable day. Constantly in the bathroom. No sense of relief in sigh. My hips are now hurting completely. Unbearable pain. The peeing is bothering me so much. My bladder is bugging me. I pee and pee and it never stops. I am afraid of drinking water so I can rest. Now I am really bloated. Distended belly. Have been constipated since day of surgery. I took one laxative, since last time I had a bad reaction, along with my shake with fiber boost. By the evening, I still had not pooped! But, I can't stop peeing.
Saturday, July 13, 2013:
Woke up feeling pretty much the same. Was peeing all night like the previous nights. Have to sleep on my side in order to have no pressure on bladder. However, now my hips are killing me!!!! And, I still pee constantly. Why, oh Why, did I do this!? I'm wondering if maybe the pressure from my intestines is making my bladder feel pressure too? Drank my cleansing tea. Took another laxative. Took Motrin to relieve swelling, another Arbonne shake with fiber boost. FINALLY!!! I pooped! AAHHH. I also noticed, prior to emptying my bowels, Peeing was getting easier and more plentiful. Still feel pressure on my bladder, but I am releasing more urine than ever before. Well, before surgery. Still feel pressure, though. Went to the bathroom again! Lets hope this pressure release in intestines helps my bladder pressure.
